Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups pineapple juice canned or boiled fresh
  • 2–3 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • tablespoons gelatin powder
  • ¼ cup cold water for blooming gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional

Method
 

  1. How to Make Pineapple Jelly Recipe
Step 1: Bloom the Gelatin
  1. Add gelatin powder to cold water in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes until spongy.

  2. (Skip this step if using agar-agar.)
Step 2: Heat the Pineapple Juice
  1. In a saucepan, gently heat pineapple juice and sugar over low heat. Stir until sugar dissolves. Do not boil.

Step 3: Dissolve the Gelatin
  1. Take the saucepan off the burner. Stir in the bloomed gelatin until it dissolves completely. If using, squeeze in some lemon juice.
  2. For agar-agar:
  3. Boil agar-agar with water for 2–3 minutes, then mix it into the hot pineapple juice.
Step 4: Set the Jelly
  1. Pour the mixture into moulds or bowls. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 2–3 hours until set.

  1. Unmould carefully or serve directly chilled.

Notes

  • Do not use raw fresh pineapple juice, as it prevents the jelly from setting. Use canned juice or boil fresh juice first.
  • Do not boil the mixture after adding gelatin, or the jelly may not set properly.
  • Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the pineapple juice.
  • For a vegetarian version, replace gelatin with agar-agar.
  • Allow the jelly to cool before refrigerating for the best texture.
